Have you ever wondered why the same argument keeps happening, even when you both want things to be different? Maybe you’re struggling to feel heard or wondering how you became so disconnected. Despite your efforts, it can feel difficult to reconnect. These patterns can become even harder to navigate during major life changes, such as becoming parents, caring for aging parents, experiencing betrayal, coping with grief, or adjusting to a new chapter in life. You may be trying your best to hold everything together while feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, lonely, or unsure of what to do next.
Melissa works with couples, families, and individuals who are feeling stuck and want to create meaningful change. A key focus of her work is helping couples understand and shift the patterns that keep them caught in cycles of conflict, miscommunication, emotional or physical disconnection, and hurt. She also supports individuals and families navigating grief and loss, anxious attachment, boundary struggles, relationship difficulties, overwhelm, and major life transitions.
Melissa’s goal is to create a supportive space where clients can slow down and explore the deeper meaning behind the challenges they are experiencing. Together, they explore the emotions, needs, and patterns that may be influencing how clients relate to themselves and others. Melissa believes you don’t need to know exactly what you need or have the right words to explain what you’re experiencing. You can start there. Her approach supports both insight and practical change, helping clients feel more understood, more grounded, and better equipped to navigate the relationships and challenges that matter most to them.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys exploring new restaurants and trying different foods. She also appreciates quiet evenings at home with a favourite TV show, a good book, most likely fantasy, or a puzzle.
Naturally curious, Melissa is always interested in discovering something new. And while she considers herself a devoted dog person, she currently shares her home with a very entitled and thoroughly spoiled cat who would have you believe otherwise.
