Willow Roots Therapy is growing and looking to create a team of amazing therapists to join!

We are currently seeking a Psychotherapist who is fully registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO) or a Registered Social Worker with a license to provide the controlled act of psychotherapy. This is an independent contractor position and a great opportunity for those pursuing mental health careers in Ottawa.
 

The ideal candidate will provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families virtually and in person. You are a team player that aims to provide services in a safe, comfortable, client-centered, and non-judgmental environment that supports diversity while being surrounded by other like-minded professionals. You are an ethical problem solver who is not afraid to tackle challenges, comes to work with a positive mindset, and recognizes the benefits of a holistic care approach. Requirements

  • Be able to provide individual, couple, and/or family psychotherapy
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Participate in supervision/consultation
  • Stay current on developments and best practices in the field of psychotherapy
  • Participate in monthly team meetings
  • Provide your own marketing in addition to our own
  • Able to see 15 clients per week minimum
  • Hybrid work environment with one in-office day per week
  • Provide professional liability insurance as per the requirements of the equivalent regulatory body
  • Experience working with a variety of clients with psychological struggles, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, and cultural family dynamics.
  • Able to implement boundaries as needed and to provide client-centered care with empathy and compassion
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a mental health related field
  • Fully Registered as a Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, or subsequent professional college with a licence to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy in Ontario
  • Training and experience in couple and family therapy
  • Modalities that pair well with our practice: Family Systems, Narrative, IFS, Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic, EFT, CBT
  • At least 2 years clinical experience
