As a registered psychotherapist, Kristy’s approach to therapy is grounded in presence, compassion, and the belief that one of the most healing experiences is to feel deeply heard and understood. She offers a warm, steady, and grounding space that belongs entirely to her clients. a place where emotions, stories, and lived experiences are met with gentleness, curiosity, and genuine care. Whether someone is beginning therapy for the first time or returning after time away, Kristy walks alongside them at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
Kristy works with individuals (18+) and couples, drawing from therapeutic approaches that help clients explore what’s unfolding beneath the surface and reconnect with their resilience. Her modalities include: EMDR, AEDP, Psychodynamic, Somatics, DBT, and the Gottman Method.
She supports clients navigating a wide range of emotional and relational experiences, including anxiety and chronic stress, ADHD, PTSD and trauma (including childhood trauma), depression and low mood, relationship and attachment challenges, burnout and emotional exhaustion, grief and loss, and major life transitions. No matter what someone is carrying, or how heavy it may feel, Kristy offers presence, steadiness, and compassionate guidance as they move toward healing and growth.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Kristy spent several years working in social services, offering emotional support, case management, and crisis intervention. Her experience includes roles within a local women’s shelter and Ottawa Victim Services. These experiences continue to inform her work today, grounding her approach in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the human experience.
Kristy is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (2022) at Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2018) at the University of Ottawa, providing her with a strong foundation in both theory and clinical practice.
Outside of her work, Kristy enjoys practicing yoga, going for walks, and creating art.
